I am actually a furniture maker who started learning to code late in life.
Being a Windows user from the start, it was when I got into Raspberry Pi microcomputers and working in the Bash command-line terminal that I found the environment I understood. It felt natural.
It's been four years now of intensive learning. FreeCodeCamp is a good place to start, and I have learned a lot of the basics.
In my opinion, there is no best language or framework to use—it's all absolutely fantastic. Coding, for me, is a form of art: the idea that I can share pictures, text, movement, sound, and video in a dynamic way using code.
Having a little insight into the technologies of today helps me understand just a little bit more about how this modern world that I find myself living in works. Show less
