This is important but often abstracted away. What would human dignity protection look like in an actual AI threat model?
OWASP's Duty to Human Rights: Why AI Security Matters for Human Dignity

@[Mehadi Hasan] Very good question. This is where regulations will pressure corporations for more reasonable approach towards AI adoption. The EU AI Act will eventually lead to other nations issuing their own regulations.
Protecting human dignity in this context as a conversation is part of overall AI security and governance frameworks. For instance, the ISO/IEC 42001 and NIST AI RMF both made large emphasis on ethics given the potential harm of AI.
As of today, legally, organizations are responsible of how they use AI and the AI developers usually state that it's the consumer's responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the AI responses. The EU AI Act however, will also hold AI developers accountable for their products instead of consumers.
We are still very far from letting the machines run on their own, so only with proper frameworks and human-in-loop, we will ensure that AI isn't a threat to public safety and humanity (unless AI becomes sentient).
