AWS Account Locked! How One IAM Mistake Cost Me

posted 1 min read

How I Locked Myself Out of My AWS Account (And What I Learned)

In this video, I shared a real mistake I made while working with AWS IAM. I was adjusting permissions and ended up locking myself out of my own account. No access, no quick fix, just lessons.

This experience helped me understand how powerful and sensitive IAM settings are. One small mistake in permissions can completely block access to your resources. It also taught me the importance of testing policies carefully, using least privilege, and always having a recovery plan in place.

I made this video to help beginners avoid the same mistake and to show that learning cloud comes with real trial and error. If you are new to AWS or still figuring out IAM, this is something you should definitely be aware of.
