@[Andrew Mewborn] Fair question. Smart UV Tool is built for real production meshes, not tutorial cubes. It analyzes face angles, sharp edges, and topology density before unwrapping, then auto-segments hard-surface parts to avoid stretching and UV chaos. Dense meshes take slightly longer, but the result is clean, usable UVs without manual prep.
