Code Ownership? Decisions? Responsibility? -> AI? None.

Code Ownership? Decisions? Responsibility? -> AI? None.

I will be very quick on this.

Consider.

Code for business applications is a constant flow of professional decision - product and engineering context bounded - 100% deterministic - conscious and precise, not arbitrary and probabilistic.

The ability to understand code from all these standpoints - and take the decisions on the code is code ownership.

The ability to consciously step out and say - I am responsible for decisions made with the code is purely human, however few humans can do this, however all are expected to.

AI code inherently lacks all of this, leading us to the fact: no engineer has the ownership nor wants or can take responsibility for it - hence the code is an orphan, destined to be a throw away.
