I agree with your point about CoderLegion. To me, its added value is the visibility it gives contributors. What makes that visibility meaningful is the human side: people who take the time to read our work, exchange ideas, and show a genuine interest in what we’re building and how we’re growing. That’s how visibility turns into real connections.
Where Should Developers Write? A Practical Comparison of LinkedIn, Medium, Dev.to, and CoderLegion

@[simouun] The point is well made - visibility that does not result in a real exchange is just noise. In reality, the most important metric is not impressions, but if someone reads what you have written and has a thought worth sharing. It is this loop that makes a platform worth returning to. I like the way you’ve framed this around the goal rather than trying to declare one platform the “best.” Each platform serves a different stage of the content journey.
I’d add one thing: the real advantage of cross-posting isn’t simply reaching more platforms, but adapting the same idea to each platform’s audience and behavior. A technical tutorial, for example, can become a practical LinkedIn discussion, a detailed Dev.to tutorial, and a more community-driven conversation on CoderLegion.
The “write once, adapt the framing” approach is probably the most sustainable way to build visibility without turning content creation into a full-time publishing job.
@[WAQAS AHMAD] That is a good extension of the point - once you understand what each platform rewards, the adaptation itself is relatively straightforward. A tutorial that took three hours to write might take twenty minutes to reframe three times. It is not an additional step on top of writing; it is the last step of the writing process. "Write once, adapt the framing" is really just a matter of finishing the task properly. Thank you for your comment.

@[Spyros] On the topic of discovery, you are correct, search traffic on a focused platform such as CoderLegion or Dev.to brings in readers who are already interested in what you wrote, which is a higher quality click than someone scrolling a feed. The real purpose of LinkedIn is to bring technical work into the attention of people who make hiring or product decisions but would not otherwise discover a CoderLegion post. The focused platforms are a better investment if that is not your goal. Thank you for your comment.

Coderlegion does have a lot going for it. What I appreciate the most is that the people here seem to have some genuine (even if short-lived) interest in what others are doing. I have found a few real gems here. I truly hope this platform dosn't devolve into another AI echo chamber.
Oh, great article BTW.
@[Bryan MacLee] Thank you, Bryan. That is exactly what I have observed as well. The attention here is of a quality that is difficult to find on larger platforms. As you point out, the "real gems" you mention are usually the work of people who are building or thinking about something genuinely interesting rather than just farming reach.
AI echo chambers, however, pose a real risk. Platforms that maintain that friction - actual reading, actual comments - are more likely to remain relevant. I hope CoderLegion maintains that position.

For me CoderLegion and Dev.To worked the best. It's very hard to get any visibility on Medium and they require subscription for any meaningful way to contribute. LinkedIn behaves weird lately and my posts get almost zero visibility.
What about Substack and Hashnode? Anyone has experience with their platforms?
