Pointer | AI-Powered Local Code Editor

Pointer | AI-Powered Local Code Editor

posted 1 min read

Pointer is my ongoing project — a local AI-powered code editor built for speed, privacy, and full offline control.

Unlike cloud-based assistants, Pointer runs completely on your machine, integrating with local LLMs to provide intelligent code completion, debugging, and contextual awareness without sending your code anywhere. And the best part, its 100% Free!

The goal: create a fast, open, and developer-friendly coding experience that gives users the freedom to integrate any local model they want.

Tech Stack:

Built with modern Electron & React architecture

Uses a local LLM backend (custom API or Ollama-compatible)

Supports extensible plugin architecture

Status: In active development — UI and core features are evolving weekly.
