AI Gives the Right Answer. But Does It Actually Save Time?

An AI feature works perfectly in a demo. It answers questions quickly, gives useful information, and looks impressive.

Then people start using it in their daily work.

They still have to open another screen, find the right record, copy the answer, and update the system themselves.

At that point, you have to ask: Has AI actually made the job easier, or has it just added another step?

Getting AI to generate a good response is one challenge. Making that response useful in an application people already use is another.

The real test is what happens after the answer appears. Does the user have less work to do? Does the information reach the right place? Can the task be completed without unnecessary manual steps?

A useful way to judge an AI feature is to look beyond its answer: what can the user actually do with it, and how much work remains?

For developers here, what's been harder in your experience: getting AI to give reliable answers or integrating it into an existing workflow?
