Fascinating data. The AI crawler numbers are higher than I expected, especially when viewed over just 90 days. Have you noticed any measurable impact, positive or negative, on server resources, indexing, or organic traffic from this level of AI related activity?
What 1.23M Edge Requests Taught Us About AI Crawlers (and Our Own Analytics)

@[Gift Balogun], Thanks for the great question, Gift!
Looking at the telemetry over the 90-day window, here is how those three areas played out:
Server Resources (Neutral to Positive, thanks to the Edge):
Because roughly 84% of the AI crawler requests targeted raw HTML endpoints, serving traffic through a Cloudflare Anycast edge layer was essential. Edge caching and WAF challenge rules absorbed the brunt of the compute load, keeping origin server CPU/memory usage near baseline and total violations under 0.98%. Without edge proxying, that frequency of AI hits would have strained un-cached origin endpoints.Indexing Speed (Major Positive):
The crawl frequency from ClaudeBot (19.7K) and GPTBot (14.9K) alongside Google (42K) and Microsoft (43.4K) significantly compressed our indexing turnaround. When we publish new technical guides or update our root-level /llms.txt and schema graphs, AI crawlers ingest the changes within hours rather than weeks.Traffic Impact (The "Zero-Click" Reality):
Direct click-through referrals from AI assistants are still a small fraction of total volume—AI models primarily consume the documentation to synthesize answers inside their own chat interfaces. However, we have observed a measurable rise in downstream branded searches: developers and CTOs get a technical answer cited by Claude or Perplexity, and then manually search for SEOSiri to inspect the full architecture.
Are you tracking AI crawler activity on your own platforms, and are you seeing similar ingestion patterns?
