I can see why you'd want this instead of putting a proxy in the request path. The async approach looks pretty clean. How does it behave when one provider times out?
I built an async wrapper for OpenAI/Anthropic SDKs because I didn't want a proxy in my request path

Currently: building Cognocient — cost tracking and budget enforcement for teams calling OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini. Started as a proxy, now also ships as an async wrapper for teams who don't want a proxy in their request path.
Background: technical writer, mostly API docs and developer-facing content. That's the lens I bring to building a product too — if the docs don't tell the truth about what a tool does and doesn't do, the docs are the bug.
Right now I'm figuring out: how much of building a company is actually building the product versus everything else. Currently spending more time than I expected on outreach, community writing, and learning what "sounds like a person, not a pitch" actually takes. Show less
