Changelog #11: Paid plans, multi-org dashboard, and page classification

In July, we delivered self-serve billing, rebuilt the customer dashboard for agencies that juggle several client organisations, and added two workflows that had been stuck behind support tickets: newsletter opt-in on My Account and email invitations for new team members. We also started classifying discovered URLs by page type so large site inventories are easier to filter before you set budgets or alerts.

Changelog #10 capped how many organisations a plan can hold; this release connects those limits to checkout, team invites, and a dashboard that shows usage across every organisation you belong to. This release covers the following areas for customers.

We have opened subscriptions beyond our beta testers. Organisation admins can start checkout from the pricing page or from My Account > Subscriptions. Guests on the pricing page still see Sign up with the same message as before: start on Free without a credit card, upgrade when you are ready. Secure payments and invoicing go through Dodo Payments, so expect to see their branding in our checkout and invoices.

For users on a subscription plan, the pricing page allows both upgrading and downgrading your plan. Managers and Viewers who start checkout without an admin workspace get a new organisation provisioned for them automatically so billing has somewhere to attach; they become Admin of that workspace before payment completes.

Past-due subscriptions keep access while billing is unresolved, but My Account shows a Fix billing action that opens a payment-method update flow at Dodo without creating a duplicate subscription row. Only organisation admins see upgrade and fix-billing actions; other roles use the plans page for reference only.

The Plan & Usage widget on the dashboard shows the target plan name with a confirming message instead of reverting to the old tier. Both views poll every few seconds until the change clears. If processing stalls, stale pending state clears after 15 minutes so the UI does not show a phantom upgrade indefinitely.

Subscription cards on My Account list plan name, status (active, past due, cancelled, or ended), primary organisation, and the limits you care about day to day: organisations, sites, team members, and tests per month, with start and end dates where they apply.

Multi-organisation dashboard

In the dashboard, the older single-organisation summary cards are replaced by three quick-summary widgets, each with one row per organisation you can access:

  • Sites & pages — organisation name, site count, and active page count.

  • PageSpeed — tests in the last 30 days, failed tests, average score (colour-coded), and open alerts.

  • Team — organisation name, your role in that organisation, and active member count.

On wider screens each widget uses a scrollable mini-table so a long client list does not stretch the page. On mobile the same numbers appear as stacked cards. If you have no organisations, the widgets show a plain empty state.

Plan & Usage and API Usage still aggregate at account level across every organisation you admin, because subscription and API quotas apply to the billing account, not a single client organisation. That matches organisation limits from Changelog #10: you see per-organisation delivery stats in the quick summaries and account-wide caps in plan usage.

Latest test results and System updates remain on the dashboard below the PageSpeed widget.

Newsletter preferences on My Account

We will soon start sending product updates and selected blog posts by email. Until July you could opt in at sign-up, but changing your mind meant a support message. My Account now has a Newsletter section on the read view with a Subscribed or Not subscribed badge and a pointer to Edit Profile.

On Edit Profile, the Newsletter block explains what you are signing up for and offers a single checkbox: subscribe to product updates and tips, unsubscribe at any time. If your account is in read-only mode because billing is past due, newsletter preferences are locked until the subscription is renewed. The footer on the public site still states that email is used for registration and opted-in updates only.

Page type classification for site pages

Discovery can add hundreds of URLs to a commerce or publisher site. Reporting and alerts are easier when you can separate product pages from blog posts without exporting to a spreadsheet. Discovered URLs can now be classified into page types such as homepage, category or listing, product detail, cart, checkout, account, search, content or blog, FAQ or help, contact, about, legal, landing or campaign, and a catch-all Other.

Classification runs when a page is first created or when its URL changes. Global URL rules are checked first; if none match, keyword heuristics fill in. Each page stores a type label, a source (global rule, heuristic, manual, or unknown), and a confidence score you can inspect on the page detail view. If you set a type manually, automatic re-classification skips that row until you clear the override.

On the site Pages list, a Page type column shows a badge or Unclassified. The default view groups rows by type so you can collapse whole sections. Filters cover page type, classification source, and whether the row is still unclassified. From a row action you can Re-classify to queue a fresh pass (hidden when the page was classified manually). The edit form lets you pick a type from a dropdown with helper text: leave empty for auto-detect, or choose a value to override.

The point is operational: an agency monitoring a shop can filter to product URLs before setting a performance budget, or exclude checkout and cart paths from a bulk test run. Labels are a starting point; you can correct odd matches per URL without turning off auto-classification for the rest of the site.

Email team invitations

Adding a colleague used to mean sharing credentials or asking us to provision an account. Organisation Admins can now invite by email from Team Members. Managers can invite Viewers only. Viewers cannot send invites. Free plans cannot add team members; paid plans enforce the team member cap across all your organisations, the same way organisation caps work on the subscription.

The invite form asks for email and role (Admin, Manager, or Viewer). Watcher sends an email with an accept link that expires after 30 days. No membership row is created until the invitee accepts. Admin invites to a new organisation also respect the organisation cap from Changelog #10.

What to try

On the pricing page, open a plan above Free and walk through checkout as an organisation admin. On My Account and the dashboard Plan & Usage widget, watch how pending checkout state behaves before limits update.

On a site with many discovered pages, group by page type, filter to Unclassified, and re-classify a few URLs to see how rules and heuristics label them. Override one product URL manually and confirm Re-classify disappears for that row.

From Team Members, invite a colleague as Admin or Viewer (depending on your role) and accept the email on a fresh or existing account to verify the cap and verification checks.

August work continues on help-centre docs and broader billing rollout.
