Let's Talk About Individual Ai Tool(s) Preference!!!

Lately, I have been spending enough time with image generation using various Ai tools - Chatgpt - Gemini - Grok.

So on a particular day a friend called, he wanted to ask if I will be available so I can teach his younger brother web design and development.

In the midst of our conversation he complimented my WhatsApp Profile and asked if it was Ai generated, which I responded with a yes, he asked the tool I used I said Chatgpt, he said why don't I use Gemini that it's output is better and more realistic than that of Chatgpt and he defended his claim by sending the images he had generated using such tools.

Well it was good alright but not better and more realistic to me than Chatgpt, and that's what I told him and this turned into a debate.

To prove my point, I sent him the image I generated with Chatgpt - Gemini - Grok using the exact same prompt and asked him to judge.

He acknowledged gpt's output but still insisted on his claims, but I wasn't surprised one bit because I have been in this situation several times and I have realized that no matter how good a product is everybody mustn't like them, some will always prefer other products even though yours is more advanced, easier, accessible, fast and yielding than the rest, there are people that will prefer the rest to yours and it doesn't mean yours isn't good, it's just people's preference.

There are people who doesn't like Tesla cars irrespective of how technologically advanced it is and the company's reputation, likewise Toyota and other cars and product, so it's common in our human nature.

To be honest, I did argue with him very much so much so that our call lasted for an hour and half yet no one yielded, but the irony here was that I wasn't arguing to defend my claims instead I was arguing to learning and find out more of how he generates his images, his prompting methods, his inputs and more and I did.

So the thing there is that just like every other products / things, people will always have their preference no matter how good yours is, your duty now as a developer is to make a safe heaven for the ones that prefer yours by constantly improving, advancing and adjusting not just to tech trends but strong tools capable of making it easier for your users, because most trends aren't really worth it.
