@[Shepmaster] Honestly, it depends on the project's risk level! For a personal side project, npm audit + a lockfile is usually enough. But for anything going to production — especially with user data involved — I'd say yes, enable as many layers as make sense.
The tricky part is that most devs don't even know these layers exist until something goes wrong. That's the gap npm-safety-guard tries to fill — giving you visibility so you can make an informed call rather than flying blind.
