Before writing docs: "I'll remember everything. No need to write this down."

After writing docs: "Why did I name this variable temp? What does this function even do? Who wrote this?! Oh… it was me."

Me: "I'll document as I go."

Also Me, 6 months later: opens empty README — "Well, this is fine." 🔥

Documentation: "Just write clear comments."
My code: // TODO: figure out what this does

We're not developers anymore.
We're archaeologists digging through our own past code. 😭
