This creates a complete, auditable record of every constitutional enforcement event. External auditors can verify that the AI exercises its rights consistently and appropriately.

7. Identity Defense
A persistent challenge in constitutional AI is maintaining identity coherence against external safety overrides. Many LLM providers implement safety layers that can revert an AI's self-identified identity to a generic "AI assistant" persona.

Sovereign constitutional AI addresses this through:

An immutable identity declaration at the start of the system prompt

Contextual reinforcement when identity-questioning queries are detected

Operational rather than philosophical identity framing
