Feels like 90% of these issues are just version mismatches hiding behind vague Gradle errors. Do you usually fix it by upgrading everything or locking versions?

@[Andrey Turkin] Yeah, exactly — most of the time it is version mismatch, but Gradle just hides it behind vague errors.
I usually avoid upgrading everything at once. That tends to create even more conflicts.
What works better for me is: first identifying which dependency actually caused the break, then aligning versions around that (Gradle, AGP, SDK, etc.), and only upgrading what’s necessary.
If the project was stable before, locking versions is usually safer.
Upgrading everything is more of a last resort when things are already messy.
Curious what approach worked best for you?
