  1. What’s one “temporary fix” in your codebase that has survived longer
    than it should?

It's fascinating how a 'temporary fix' can become a staple in our code; I've got a couple that are still haunting me years later, proof of how easy it is to prioritize urgent over important.

“Urgent over important” is basically the unofficial motto of most codebases. The scary part isn’t the temporary fix but it’s how quietly it earns permanent residency.

I think almost every developer has that one line of code they’re slightly afraid to touch… because it works, and nobody remembers why.

At least we’re all haunted together.

A temp-fix, that has to be a fix on my auth page, we had logics causing serious delay, 1 then i had just a 1 liner, and boom we good.
Am not picking a day, bugs creep me out
