The Tao of Code
Before starting, I want to clarify something:
this is not a tutorial, nor a fully technical article.
This is a philosophy of code.
Yesterday, someone asked me a simple question:
Why do you code? And what is code, really?
I didn’t answer with logic or definitions.
I answered with a single word:
It’s Tao.
In the Tao Te Ching, Tao is described as something infinite—
empty, yet full of possibilities.
It cannot be fully explained, only experienced.
Code feels the same.
At its core, code is nothing.
Just empty files, blank screens, silent cursors.
But within that emptiness lies the possibility of everything—
a world, a system, a story, a revolution.
A single line can change behavior.
A small condition can decide outcomes.
An invisible loop can keep the whole world running.
Code does not force.
It flows.
The best code, like Tao, does not shout.
It works quietly, efficiently, naturally.
It does not try to be clever; it tries to be clear.
When you fight the problem, code resists.
When you understand the problem, code follows.
You don’t command code.
You align with it.
And maybe that’s why I code—
not to control machines,
but to practice harmony between logic and emptiness,
between structure and freedom.
In that sense,
code is not just written.
It is followed.
