I Shipped a Lightweight Uptime & SSL Monitor — Here’s a Quick Demo

posted 1 min read

I built Site Informant because I wanted a monitoring tool that was:

  • simple
  • affordable
  • developer-friendly
  • and not overloaded with features I don’t need

It checks uptime, tracks response time, and warns before SSL certificates expire, with clean alerts and predictable pricing.

I put together a quick 30-second demo video that shows exactly what it does, no fluff:

Watch the demo:

The stack behind it is mostly .NET 8, Web API, Blazor WebAssembly, EF Core, SQLite, and Stripe, with a background service doing the monitoring work.

If you’re curious or want to try it on your own site:

Feedback welcome, especially from other devs who’ve built or used monitoring tools before.
