⚙️ What I Learned Building a Crypto Monitor with PHP and Discord

posted Originally published at dev.to 1 min read

It all started on one of those random days when I just wanted to build something different. PHP isn’t exactly the first language that comes to mind when you think about bots or automation — but that’s what made it fun.

The project connects to crypto APIs and sends real-time alerts to a Discord channel, built entirely with plain PHP — no frameworks, no fancy libraries.

While coding it, I rediscovered how flexible PHP still is — and how much you can learn when you stop following tutorials and start following your curiosity.

???? My biggest takeaway:
Experimentation beats perfection — every single time.

This project also marks my first post here on CoderLegion
excited to share more experiments and learnings with the community! ⚡
