Interesting perspective, Maximiliano — redefining “bugs” as “faults” really shifts the mindset toward accountability and precision. In what ways do you think changing this terminology could influence how teams handle software quality and communication?

I get the point about taking ownership, but dropping the word “bug” feels like rewriting history for the sake of modern sensibilities. The term has never been about shirking responsibility — it’s a part of our shared engineering culture, a nod to where this field began and how far it’s come.
Changing the language doesn’t make us better developers; improving our discipline does. Let’s preserve the words that carry our history, and focus on writing cleaner code, better tests, and fewer actual bugs.
