Hey friends,
I wanted to share something a little personal today, because I think a lot of us in tech can relate. Working in this field is exciting, but let’s be honest, it also comes with long hours, deadlines, screen fatigue, and that constant pressure to keep up with everything new. Over time, it takes a toll. Stress, anxiety, irregular sleep, body aches, most of us have felt it. I know I have.
The thing that’s made a huge difference in my life is yoga and meditation. Luckily, I come from that background, and it’s been my anchor. While code can sometimes fry my brain and deadlines can push me to the edge, these practices give me a way to reset—both physically and mentally. Yoga keeps my body flexible and free from stiffness, while meditation clears the stress in my head, helps me focus, and reduces anxiety. It’s not about being “perfectly zen” all the time; it’s about finding tools to bring yourself back when life feels overwhelming.
I’ve noticed how much better I can handle work challenges when I stay consistent with these practices. My energy lasts longer, my sleep improves, and even my relationships feel lighter. It’s like having a secret weapon that keeps me healthy on both fronts, body and mind.
That’s why I want to share this with all of you. We’re a community here, and I see us as a family. Techies often suffer silently, but we don’t have to. As my way of giving back, I host free community meditations on Insight Timer. It’s open to anyone, and you don’t need any prior experience. Just bring yourself, a quiet corner, and a willingness to try.
These sessions are about slowing down, breathing, and letting go of the stress that piles up. They’re short, simple, and accessible to everyone. You might be surprised at how much lighter you feel even after just one session.
So if you’ve been dealing with stress, anxiety, or just want to feel healthier and more balanced, I’d love for you to join. Consider it my little giveaway to our tech community—a reminder that we’re not alone on this journey.
Take care of yourselves, friends. Hope to see you in one of the sessions.
