How AI Flipped the Way We Learn to Code

Not long ago, learning to code meant starting with fundamentals, reading documentation, and slowly building projects from scratch.

Today, the process feels completely different.

I often begin by asking an AI to generate the code. Then, when something breaks—or doesn’t work the way I expect—I dig into the details, debug line by line, look into tutorials, articles and figure out the logic afterward.

It’s like learning in reverse: build first, understand later. And honestly, it’s a surprisingly effective way to learn fast.

AI hasn’t just changed the tools we use—it’s reshaping the entire learning process.

Do you find yourself learning this way too? Or do you stick to the traditional “concepts first” approach?

Rahul — it's wild how AI flipped the whole learning flow! I’ve definitely found myself doing the same: build first, then backtrack to understand. Do you think this reverse approach might hurt deeper understanding in the long run, or is it just a new normal we’ll adapt to?

If someone is just learning like this, it will exert more pressure on mind, create anxiety. This way of learning can be draining sometimes due to pressure of building fast. We sometimes skip learning things and rely on AI.

I'm facing an insane error right now in music app development, I'll probably post here if someone can help me in fixing it since AI has failed. Google is not helpful too.
