An accepted answer and a high-scoring answer are different things in Krillion. The game rewards rarity, so two valid answers can lead to very different scores.

Krillion Answers makes that difference easier to inspect. It is a free browser companion that brings saved official answers, their recorded rarity tiers, and their exact scores into one place. You can use it without creating an account.

Start with a prompt, then check your answer

The answer checker lets you pick a prompt and enter an answer. It looks in that prompt's saved official pool and shows the matching record's tier and score. The result is tied to the saved data, rather than a generated estimate of how unusual a word sounds.

That context matters. A score belongs to an answer for a particular question; it is not a universal property of the word. Keeping the prompt and saved record together makes the result useful to the player and easier to explain.

A reference that explains the numbers

The site also provides daily answer pages, dated archives, and a scoring guide. Players can compare the listed picks, copy an answer, or look up the rule behind a score.

The six recorded score levels are 10, 15, 30, 60, 85, and 100. Each point represents 10 metres of depth, so a 100-point answer corresponds to 1,000 metres. Seven such answers would total 700 points, or 7,000 metres.

The useful distinction is between an answer being accepted and its recorded rarity score. Presenting both gives players a clearer basis for choosing an answer and understanding a completed round.

Maintainer note: I work on Krillion Answers. It is an independent companion; the official game is played at krillion.io.
