Something I've been noticing lately that I wanted to get your take on.

When I look at who's actually getting the most leverage from AI right now, it's not always developers. It's often people with strong business instincts marketers, entrepreneurs, consultants who had the ideas and the strategy but were blocked by the technical barrier.

AI just removed that barrier for them.

For us as developers, AI is an accelerator we build faster, debug more efficiently. But for a non-technical person who already knows how to sell and understands their market, AI is something bigger: it's the missing piece that lets them actually execute.

They had the strategy. AI gave them the execution. That combination feels really powerful.

Which makes me wonder: is pure technical skill becoming less of an advantage than we think? And do developers need to develop business and marketing skills to stay relevant or is technical depth still the main differentiator?

Would love to hear from people who've seen this play out in their own work. 👇
