Latency depends mostly on the capture rate and the Wi-Fi: at the default 10 fps a frame can wait up to ~100 ms before it's grabbed, then JPEG encoding and the LAN hop add a bit more. On my setup the viewer's own readout shows about 40-80ms (capture-to-receive; browser decode/paint adds a little on top). The page shows this live next to the fps counter, so you can check it on your own network. There's no frame queue: a slow viewer just skips frames instead of building up lag. Raising --fps and using 5 GHz Wi-Fi helps; lowering --scale/--quality helps on weak links.
