AI can write code faster. Who protects production?

AI coding tools are helping developers ship code much faster.

That also means more changes can reach complex production systems faster.

For me, the important safeguards are:

1 - observability
2 - staged deployments
3 - automated rollback
4 - retry and rate limits
5 - human review for critical changes

I explored this idea in a Forbes Technology Council article around "decision-safe delivery".

What safeguard do you think becomes most important as AI writes more production code?
