PyScript is in maintenance mode. Here's what's left for Python in the browser.

@[MightyMeta] Yes, but narrower than before.
Education — students on locked-down devices can run Python with no install. Already working.
Data demos — client-side NumPy/Pandas means an interactive notebook as a static page.
Privacy — code never leaves the browser. Real advantage, not a slogan.
The LLM angle is the speculative one. Small models in-browser are real, but Python isn't the natural stack for it — JS and Rust have the lead there.
A niche future, not a mainstream one. PyScript tried to be everything, and that's part of why it's in maintenance mode now.
