Levity: A Free Logo Studio That Runs As One Local Binary

Most of us need a logo or a favicon pack a few times a year and would rather not wire up a design tool or create another account just for that. This is a small self contained option I have been pointing people to, and it is open source if you want to read how it works.

Levity is a logo studio you run on your own machine. You download one binary for your platform, double click it, and it starts a local server and opens your browser into a full studio. No installer, no setup wizard, no account. The project page has the setup guide and the GitHub link.

What It Does

You describe the logo you want and it generates concepts through an image provider you choose, steered by style presets, brand colors, aspect ratio and batch count. From there the editing is all local: knock the background out to transparent, auto trim, resize, upscale, pad, rotate, recolor, and convert between PNG, JPG and ICO.

The export step is the part that actually saves time. One click produces a favicon package, app icons, a social pack, a full logo pack, a brand sheet, and any custom sizes you specify, so you are not exporting eleven variants by hand and getting one of them wrong.

Bring Your Own Image Provider

Generation runs through an image API you pick, so you stay in control of how images are made and what they cost. Cloudflare Workers AI is the default because its free tier needs no credit card, and you can switch providers in settings by pasting a different key.

Everything except that one generation call happens on your own computer, so your work stays with you.

Why It Is Worth A Look

Builds are published for Windows, macOS on Apple Silicon and Intel, and Linux. If you maintain a few side projects and keep regenerating icon sets by hand, a single local binary that spits out a whole pack is a reasonable thing to keep around.
