Is the "Agent Economy" actually generating revenue yet? Or is it still mostly hype?

I’ve been following the AI agent space closely — building a DeFi data API for agents, an MCP server, and recently a Telegram Mini App that uses LLMs.

There’s a lot of excitement. But honestly? I haven’t seen real, sustainable revenue from agent-driven traffic yet.

Most agents are still either:

Crawling (reading data)

Testing

Running on free tiers

Or just "talking" without paying

Is this just me? Or is the agent economy still in the "infrastructure phase" where the money is being spent on building, but not yet earned by agent-based services?

Would love to hear different perspectives from builders here:

Have you seen real revenue from agents paying for APIs / services?

Are we early? Or is this just a bubble that will take years to mature?
