MyZubster Dev Update β€” Monero Node Infrastructure Expanded πŸš€

Today we completed an important infrastructure upgrade for MyZubster.

While synchronizing our Monero node, the VPS reached its storage limit. The root filesystem was effectively full:

~79 GB storage β†’ 100% used

This stopped the blockchain synchronization from progressing normally.

Instead of removing the Monero blockchain or compromising the infrastructure, we upgraded the VPS storage and expanded the existing Linux LVM configuration while keeping the current MyZubster environment intact.

Infrastructure upgrade

The server now has:

320 GB virtual disk
~319.5 GB LVM root volume
315 GB usable ext4 filesystem
~236 GB currently available

Disk usage dropped from approximately 100% β†’ 25%.

The expansion was performed through the existing storage chain:

Aruba VPS β†’ GPT β†’ /dev/sda4 β†’ LVM PV β†’ Volume Group β†’ lv-root β†’ ext4

No server reinstallation was required.

Monero synchronization resumed

After the storage expansion, we verified the local Monero RPC again.

The blockchain height progressed:

2,840,296 β†’ 2,840,836 β†’ 2,840,936

with the daemon reporting:

busy_syncing: true
synchronized: false
target_height: 3,749,362

This is expected: the node is not fully synchronized yet, but blockchain synchronization is moving again.

Why this matters for MyZubster

Running infrastructure ourselves gives us direct experience with the operational challenges behind decentralized systems.

MyZubster is not only experimenting with blockchain integrations at application level. We are also working on the infrastructure required to support them: nodes, wallets, APIs, verification, data provenance and real-world evidence.

This upgrade gives the server significantly more room for the next stages of development.

Next:

Monero full synchronization β†’ RPC verification β†’ wallet/payment testing β†’ MyZubster integration β†’ verifiable real-world workflows.

One infrastructure problem solved. Development continues.
