For the last 3.5+ years, AI has been projected as productivity flex.
Therefore organizations started asking:
Which AI tools should we buy?
How do we get people to adopt AI tools?
How do we make sure we don’t fall behind?
And in the FOMO of not missing the AI bus, they started over investing in
However, AI tools can give you speed but that speed might not achieve desired business results.
For example:
AI can generate thousands of lines of code and that may still fail to solve a real customer problem.
AI can summarise meetings. Teams can still make the same poor decisions.
AI can write thousands of blog posts/ personalised sales emails with no single customer acquisition
So, until the focus in “AI tools training” shifts from productivity & speed to “tangible business outcomes”, organisations will produce more output and not more results.
