Today I’m launching STRUT.

Hotels create the room, employ the staff, deliver the service, solve the problems, and earn the guest’s loyalty.

Yet too often, the hotel still pays 15–25% for the reservation and finishes the stay without owning the guest relationship.

I built STRUT because I did not believe that had to remain the operating model.

STRUT is a hotel-connected arrival and direct-booking platform designed for the period between reservation confirmation and check-in.

It gives the guest a better way to arrive:

A hotel-branded welcome.

Direct communication with the property.

Stay preferences handled before check-in.

Digital access where available.

The ability to bypass the front desk, should the guest wish.

A continuing relationship with the hotel beyond the current stay.

The hotel remains the host.

The guest remains in control.

When the guest chooses and authorizes the direct STRUT path, the booking can move under hotel control and STRUT charges a 7% booking commission.

Not 15–25%.

The lower commission is important, but it is not the guest proposition.

The proposition is a materially better hotel-owned experience.

The economics follow from the guest choosing that experience.

That distinction is central to STRUT.

STRUT is not built to disguise a transaction or pressure a guest into changing a reservation. The guest
may retain the existing booking path. Where the direct path is selected, the decision is explicit, authorized, and reviewable.

The operating sequence is straightforward:

The reservation is confirmed.

The hotel offers the STRUT arrival experience.

The guest sees both available paths.

The guest decides.

When the direct path is chosen, the hotel gains the booking, the relationship, and a substantially lower distribution cost.

This creates a different kind of hospitality network—one connected directly to the hotels it represents, rather than positioned between the hotel and the guest.

For hotels, STRUT provides:

A branded pre-arrival experience.

A direct guest relationship.

A controlled booking path.

Clear operational evidence.

A 7% distribution channel.

For guests, STRUT provides a more personal, more direct, and more useful way to arrive.

I built STRUT independently, without a cofounder, a development team, or outside capital. What began as a theory about hotel distribution became a working platform spanning guest identity, consent, reservation control, payments, arrival, digital access, and direct booking.

The principle behind it remains simple:

The hotel delivers the stay. It should own the relationship.

And the STRUT model can be reduced to one idea:

The guest chooses the experience. The hotel gains the relationship. The booking economics follow.

STRUT is now entering controlled property evaluations with selected hotel partners.

This is the beginning.
