Looking for Developer Perspectives on Building Sports & Gaming Apps

Hi everyone!

Over the past few months, I've been building Apex F1, a Flutter project focused on Formula 1. If anyone missed it and wants some context, here's the project:

After this project, I've decided to continue exploring the sports and gaming space. I'm especially interested in sports like Formula 1, tennis, polo, and other niche sports that don't always receive much attention from app developers.

This isn't a "give me app ideas" post. I'm more interested in having a discussion with fellow developers and hearing your perspective as builders.

Some questions I'd love to hear your thoughts on:

If you were building a sports app today, what niche would you choose and why?
Which sports do you think are underserved when it comes to high-quality mobile apps?
What mistakes do you think most sports apps make?
Have you worked with sports APIs or real-time data? Any lessons learned?
Beyond live scores and news, what experiences do you think sports apps should focus on?
Are there any unique ideas you've had but never got around to building?

I'm mainly looking to brainstorm, exchange ideas, and learn from other developers. And if anyone is interested in collaborating on sports-tech or gaming-related projects, I'd be happy to connect.

Looking forward to hearing your perspectives!
