Laravel AI Agents Now Support MCP Servers

Laravel AI SDK now supports MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers through a dedicated MCP client in the laravel/mcp package. Developers can connect Laravel AI agents to any MCP server — local via STDIO or remote via HTTP — and use its tools alongside custom agent tools. Authentication is handled via bearer tokens or full OAuth (including PKCE and client credentials). The integration is designed so MCP tools drop into an agent's existing tools() method without changing the agent loop. Additional features include built-in caching for tool lists and a faking/testing layer that lets you test MCP-powered agents without a live server.
